Second Marriage Vows

BRIDE/GROOM, I marry you with my eyes wide open. You have helped me let go of the past, and I embrace the future. Thank you for making me laugh again. Bless you for taking my hand as we begin anew.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, I offer myself to you as a partner in life. I vow to love you in sickness and in health. I commit myself to encourage you in good times and in bad. I will cherish and respect you all the days of our life together. Starting anew once again, I give thanks that I have found you. May our marriage be a gift to the world and our families, as your love is a gift to me.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM we take our vows together today. We will be changed forever, and I take them gladly, and without reservation. I promise to honor you, believe in you, protect you, and do everything in my power to make your life happy and fulfilled. This is my promise. Take my hand as we go with joy into our new life together.

-----------------------------

I am proud to marry you this day, BRIDE/GROOM I promise to wipe away your tears with my laughter, and your pain with my caring and my compassion. We will wipe out the old canvases of our lives, and fill them with new color, harmony and beauty. I give myself to you completely, and I promise to love you always, from this day forth.

-----------------------------

Today, as I give myself to you, BRIDE/GROOM, my mind is clear, and my commitment is strong and without reservation. I take you to be my life’s partner. I will never leave you nor forsake you; I will spend all my days at your side. We will share a lifetime of eternal, immeasurable love.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, life has given us a second chance at happiness. I come today to give you my love, to give you my heart and my hope for our future together. I promise to bring you joy, to be at home with your spirit and to learn to love you more each day, through all the days of our lives. My love for you is endless and eternal.

-----------------------------

Because of you, BRIDE/GROOM, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream again. I look forward with great joy to spending the rest of my life with you, caring for you, nurturing you, being there for you in all life has in store for us, and I vow to be true and faithful for as long as we both shall live.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, since I have found you, I have found a new life. The decision to commit to share that life with you is one I make happily and with full confidence in our love. Secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. BRIDE/GROOM, on this special day, I give to you in the presence of all these witnesses my pledge to stay by your side, in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times and the bad. BRIDE/GROOM, I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, I offer you the autumn of my life, brisk and vibrant. I promise to be a companion worthy of your precious friendship. I pledge to you compassion in good times and bad, encouragement in sickness and health. It is my intent that our life together include our large circle of friends and loving families. While we cherish the memories of our individual pasts, we will create new experiences and memories in our new life together.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, today I commit myself to years of growth and sharing, as I encourage you to move in a new direction. I will strive to achieve my potential and will celebrate your progress toward the same goal. I give myself to you as I am, and as I will be, and I will do it for all of my life.

-----------------------------

Respecting each other, BRIDE/GROOM, we now commit to live our lives together, for all the days to come. I ask you to share this world with me, for good and ill. Be my partner, and I will be yours.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, may our days be long, and may they be seasoned with love, understanding, and respect. Now we stand together; BRIDE/GROOM. May it always be so. I offer myself to you today. I will always love you, respect you, and be faithful to you.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, come health, happiness, and prosperity, I will stand with you; come illness, trouble, or poverty, I will stand with you. Take this ring as a sign of my love and commitment.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, today I join my life to yours as your friend, your lover, and your confidant. Let me be the shoulder you lean on, the rock on which you rest, the companion of your life. With you I will walk my path from this day forward.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, I came here today to join my life to yours before this company. In their presence I pledge to be true to you, to respect you, and to grow with you through the years. Time may pass, fortune may smile, trials may come; no matter what we may encounter together, I vow here that this love will be my only love. I will make my home in your heart from this day forward.

-----------------------------

Because I love and cherish you, BRIDE/GROOM, and want to fill your heart with grace, these things I promise I will do: to tell you what is true, that you might touch whom you embrace; to put aside my view, and paint my portrait from your place; to give you ample space; to make our battles few, and love the child behind the face: And that we might make one of two, too deep to know, too vast to trace, Because I love and cherish you, these things I promise I will do.

-----------------------------

BRIDE/GROOM, these things I promise I will do That life may grant you ample grace Because I love and cherish you: I vow to treasure what is true That I might touch whom I embrace: These things I promise I will do. I’ll build a garden in your view that with sweet fruit will stone replace because I love and cherish you. I vow to love each day anew, for love must dance through time and space: These things I promise I will do. I vow to make your terrors few and then with you those demons face because I love and cherish you. And now, as we make one of two, a passage we cannot retrace, these things I promise I will do because I love and cherish you.
